Alcalá Oliva through the years

Alcalá Oliva is a family company that was born for the cultivation of the olive grove and the production of olive oil. It is located in Jaén, where more than 20% of world production is concentrated.

    In its origin, the mill is managed by a cooperative system of farmers.

  • 1997

    Alcalá Oliva acquires the mill and implements new production systems.

  • 2002

     

    The company launches on the market products with its own brand, Alcalá Oliva.

  • 2005

     

     

    Santiago Pérez Anguita, owner of the company, invents and patents “Minioliva”, the packaging that will soon be distinctive for the company.

  • 2009

    With the incorporation of the new generation in the family business, the first steps in the export are taken and the foundations for future development and improvement of packaging and marketing activity are laid.

  • 2011

    New flavours enrich the “Minioliva” range, which now includes the first vinaigrettes and flavoured oils.

    Minioliva receives the Innovation Award at the SIAL Paris fair,
    one of the most relevant international fairs for the food sector

  • 2013

    The company invests in a new packing plant, oil cellar and warehouses; headquarters are moved in this area.

  • 2015

    We take our first steps in the Olive Oil Tourism with the restructuration of a pre-existing old oil mill in the new facilities, giving rise to our Olive Oil Museum and specialized Shop.

    Minioliva receives the Best Product Award at the NRA, (Chicago), one of the fairs with greater international relevance for the hospitality sector.

  • 2019

    We invest in a second production line for the “Minioliva” format.

  • 2020

     

    A change in the corporate image is implemented; nowadays both brands co-exist within our company, Alcalá Oliva with which we sell the largest formats and Minioliva which represents the single-serves world.
